Why has $30 been charged to my credit card instead of my actual transaction fee?

Don’t worry, the $30 is a pre-authorization hold placed on the driver’s credit card to ensure that sufficient funds are available when using our chargers. Once the bank or financial institution has authorized the transaction fee for processing, the pre-authorization amount will be reversed and replaced with the actual charge incurred for the charging session. Please note that this is a normal course payment verification procedure, which may take up to 3-4 days to complete. In any event, the pre-authorization amount of $30 will not be charged to your credit card.
